Halal is the Islamic way and practice of slaughtering animals. It requires that animals are dealt with in the most humane way. Animals are not to be mishandled or abused and endure very minimal suffering when being slaughtered. The throat is quickly slit with a very sharp knife in one strike, and the blood is let to drain completely from the animal before processing the meat. The name of God is invoked during the slaughtering to bless the chicken and meat and to give gratitude for this bounty. We are proud to be certified by the Islamic Center of San Antonio as a Halal establishment.
